Recipe For Cornbread That The Choctaw Tribe Ate

Cornbread:
1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
3/4 cup of white flour
3/4 cup of polenta or cornmeal
4 tablespoons of sugar
5 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons of applesauce
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of water
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix the wet ingredients in another bowl. Add wet ingredients and dry ingredients in another bowl together and stir well. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until it is golden brown.
